It is unlikely that some of the larger, more lavish hotel chains can advertise cheap deals online so as not to spoil the image of a luxury resort.

However, if you call them, you might get a bigger bargain than usual as they will want to fill rooms once they are locked.

Jane of HOSPA, who recently launched the Sleepover to Help Turnover program, which offers hotel guests freebies and discounts, spoke to Sun Online Travel about how to find a bargain after the lockdown.

She stated, “Families should look where they want and just give the hotel a call – they may have great deals that they can’t post but can offer you.”

“You won’t find a lot of big names doing business in the public space as they don’t want to damage their brand or get their prices back to normal, but if you call them you can always get something better.”

She also stated that citing Sleepover to improve sales will bring you a bargain if the hotel has joined the program.

“There are over 100 hotels on the list,” she said. “Some of these are chains too, so there is so much to choose from.”

The program, which hotels can sign up to offer their own specials or bargains, includes everything from free champagne to discounted dinners. to a free room upgrade.
