Uluwatu is where most of my favorite Bali beaches are – no kidding!
They generally all have white sand which is not common on Bali island. turquoise water, and most of them are never overcrowded.
Bali’s waves welcome surfers with open arms, but not really the swimmers!
The great thing is that Uluwatu has beaches where you can relax in the water without fear of getting carried away by the current.
My advice: go to Padang Padang, Uluwatu Beach and Geger Beach.
If you are a surfer looking to get away from the crowds of Canggu and Kuta then Uluwatu is definitely your place. You will meet few people in the water unlike Batu Bolong where you will have to fight for a wave.
Be aware that Uluwatu is a peninsula surrounded by cliffs. It has unique vantage points that overlook the ocean, and this also means you have to walk down lots of stairs to get to some beaches.
Let me speak to you about the different options you have in terms of beaches worth visiting.
