Police book Journey agent in Hoshiarpur : The Tribune India

Hoshiarpur: Dasuya police booked a travel agency for cheating on a Rs 13 lakh person on the pretext of sending them abroad. The defendant was identified as Amit Malhotra, a resident of Panjpir, Jalandhar. Rachhpal Singh, a resident of Ghogra village, had filed a complaint with the chief superintendent of police. Rachhpal said Malhotra took Rs 13 lakh from him to send his son to England. He said the defendant had neither sent his son abroad nor returned his money. OK

You succumb in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur: The district reported 28 new positive cases on Wednesday. The count has now reached 6,104. One person succumbed to Covid-19 and the toll reached 208. The total number of samples taken in the district to date has reached 1.52,432, with 1,807 new samples taken from people with flu-like symptoms. The number of active cases in the district is 244 while the number of recovered patients is 5,652. The civil surgeon Dr. Jasvir Singh said of 28 cases reported today, 10 were from the city, while the remaining cases were from other blocks in the district. OK
