India is simplifying travel restrictions as all PIO and OCI cardholders, as well as foreign travelers, can now visit India for any purpose except tourist visas and all travelers can enter India via approved air and water routes and use immigration services from airports and seaports. This is the latest announcement from the Home Office.
The latest announcement also includes flights operated under the Air Travel Bubble agreement and the Vande Bharat Mission, or unplanned commercial flights approved by the Department of Civil Aviation. However, people traveling on these routes should strictly adhere to the Department of Health and Family Welfare’s Covid-19 guidelines.
According to reports, the government plans to restore all existing visas with immediate effect, with the exception of the tourist visa, electronic visa and medical visa. And according to reports, foreigners intending to visit India for medical purposes can apply for a medical visa, which also applies to medical carers.
When the validity of the visa expires, the traveler can apply for a new visa in suitable categories available from India Mission / Posts.
The latest decision will allow foreigners to travel to India for a variety of purposes, such as: For study, business, employment, conference, employment, medical and research purposes, etc., and it accompanies the decision of the government to relax visa restrictions for Indians and foreigners planning to visit India or India to leave.
