Diwali 2020: Tips on how to book bus ticket on redBus app to journey safely amid Covid-19 pandemic

With one of the most anticipated festivals of the year, Diwali, people across the country who live and work in other cities are eagerly awaiting their meaningful journey to their hometowns. Diwali offers hundreds of thousands of people who could not have traveled earlier due to Covid-19 restrictions the opportunity to visit their families after many months.

redBus, the nation’s largest online bus ticketing platform, has seen strong demand for trips around this Diwali this year.

With the introduction of Safety +, a certification for bus operators who strictly adhere to the highest safety and disinfection standards, redBus has already set benchmarks for safety in the bus travel industry.

From the regular supply of hand sanitizer to the thermal inspection of passengers, bus companies labeled Safety + strictly follow detailed safety guidelines and protocols to ensure customers can travel safely and easily.

While Safety + ensures that the partner bus operators adhere to a series of strict safety measures to ensure the safety of passengers, redBus has also listed a series of passenger guidelines that encourage them to travel responsibly for a safe journey.

Here you will find step-by-step instructions for booking buses with entry points near you and drop-off points near your destination on the redBus platform.

Step 1: Open the redBus app and select the source, destination and desired travel date.

Step 2: Click on the Safety + card at the top of the page to make sure you select a bus operator that adheres to redBus’ strict safety procedures as part of its Safety + program, then confirm the seat of your choice.

Step 3: Next, from the options available, choose an entry point closest to your home and a dropping point closest to your destination to avoid unnecessary contact and exposure

Step 4: Fill in basic details like name, age, email id, contact number etc. and click “Next”.

Step 5: Choose a payment option of your choice, make the payment and confirm your booking.

Step 6: On the travel date, you can track the bus location using the “Track my bus” function on redBus and use the information to plan your commute accordingly in order to avoid unnecessary waiting at the entry point.

Step 7: Arrive at your pick-up point on time for the planned travel date and enjoy your trip.
